Add olive oil to a large soup pot and place it over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add the ground beef to the pot. Break it apartwith a utensil, and cook for 6-7 minutes until beef is browned, stirringoccasionally
Add the chili powder, cumin, tomato paste,garlic powder, and other spices to your liking; stir until well combined
Add the beef broth, diced tomatoes (with theirjuice), drained beans, and tomato sauce; stir well
Cover the pot and bring the liquid to a lowboil; then uncover and reduce the heat (low to medium-low) to gently simmer for20-25 minutes
Remove the pot from the heat; let chili restfor 5-10 minutes before serving; consider topping off with sprinkled gratedcheese, raw diced onions, and/or a spoonful of sour creamSavor!
